Inspired by the timeless symbolism of the moon, this sculpture reflects the balance between shadow and light, endings and beginnings. I wanted to capture the beauty of duality — the way darkness gives meaning to brightness, and both are essential to the cycles of life.

Papier-mâché was my chosen medium because it transforms something humble into something strong and enduring, echoing the moon’s quiet power of transformation. The textured surface and painted finish allow the piece to shift with the light, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and find their own meaning within its curve.
